Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Thighs

The air fryer has quickly become a favorite in my kitchen. We currently don’t have air conditioning where I am living, so turning on the oven or even the stove will heat the house right up. The air fryer is a lifesaver in the summer.

These chicken thighs have a lot of flavors. They are super crispy on the outside and very moist and juicy on the inside. My mom hates chicken and she ate a couple of these chicken thighs. You most likely have all the ingredients you need for the rub in your pantry. Pair this recipe with your favorite roasted vegetables and potatoes.

Ingredients
  • 3 lbs. chicken thighs, bone-in/skin on
  • 1 T garlic powder
  • 1 T onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper

Instructions
  1. In a small bowl mix the garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, cinnamon, sea salt, and pepper.
  2. Generously sprinkle the seasoning mixture over both sides of the chicken, making sure to use all the seasoning.
  3. Place the chicken thighs, skin side up, into the basket of the air fryer. You will have to cook the chicken in two batches, don’t overcrowd the basket and only place a single layer of chicken.
  4. Cook at 370 degrees for 20-25 minutes. The chicken should be crispy and no longer pink when it is fully cooked.
  5. Repeat this process for the second batch. Serve the chicken with your favorite vegetable side dish.
