Ingredients
  • 1 lb brussels sprouts, ends trimmed and sliced in half
  • 5 bacon slices, roughly chopped
  • 3 T balsamic vinegar
  • 3 T maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
Instructions
  1. In a large sauté pan on low heat, add the chopped bacon and cook until it’s crispy. Remove the bacon from the pan, leaving the rendered fat behind.
  2. Add the brussels sprouts, flat side down, to the pan in a single layer. Cook them until they are caramelized and tender, about 7-10 minutes.
  3. Add the balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, and sea salt to the pan and toss everything together. The liquids will be mostly evaporated, and a thick syrup will remain.
  4. Add the bacon to the pan and serve.
