Ingredients
  • 1 C maple sugar
  • 1/2 C salted butter, softened
  • 1/2 C Maple Bliss nut butter by Mixed Up Foods
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 C Primal Palate Gluten Free All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 24 pieces Unreal Chocolate Gems
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, or the bowl of a stand mixer, using the paddle attachment or had mixer, beat the maple sugar, butter, Mixed Up Craft Maple Bliss nut butter, and egg until well blended.
  3. Add in the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Mix together until a dough forms.
  4. Using a small spring loaded cookie dough scoop, scoop balls of the dough and place them on the parchment lined baking sheet, about 2 inches apart. (These cookies will spread, so ensure there is enough room between them.)
  5. Place in the oven and bake for 9-11 minutes. They should be golden brown when fully cooked.
  6. Immediately place a Gem in the center of the cookie. If you like more, you can add a few into the cookie.
  7. Wait until the cookie are fully cooled before removing them from the baking sheet.
